What are your
teaching methods?
In order to
provide a greater variety of courses, we teach using two methods.
A "2 way interactive video course" is one where the instructor is
somewhere else, usually Boise. The instructor teaches the class
over a video conferencing system which allows them to see and hear their
students and the students to hear and see the instructor. A "live
course" is one where the instructor is in our Idaho Falls classroom.
What are your classroom policies?
We seek to nurture an environment conducive to learning. Thus, absolutely no cell phone calls during
classes. Turn your phone off (not on vibrate). Return calls during
breaks. We ask you to be respectful of the instructor and other
students. Participate. But, no rude or inappropriate comments. Act
like an adult and enjoy the opportunity to learn. You can download
our policies handout.
What is your refund policy?
If you cannot attend a class because of
an emergency or are forced to leave a class because of an emergency, we
will allow you to attend a future, equivalent course for free. If
we cancel a course, you will be entitled to a full refund.
What is your attendance policy?
In
accordance with Idaho Real Estate Commission requirements, an attendee
must attend 100% of a class in order to obtain credit.
What is your policy on accommodating those with disabilities?
Let
us know if you need special assistance to attend a class. We will
do our best to accommodate.
Will you inform the Idaho Real Estate Commission of the course I take?
After every
class, we send a course completion list to the Idaho Real Estate
Commission. It may take some time for your classes to appear in
their records. And, on occasions, courses don't appear. The key
proof you have attended a course is your course completion certificate.
You are required to keep them. If the Commission does not post a
course you have attended, go ahead and indicate that you have taken the course when
you renew your license. If you are audited, produce your course
completion certificate.
I
need to receive or send a fax, get an e-mail, or make a copy. And,
are there any places nearby to eat?
Parcel
Express is two doors to the west of our classroom. Their incoming fax
number is 208-552-1179. They offer computer, copying & other
office-related services. Nearby are a host of local fast food
places and restaurants. Here is a
guide to local services.
I'll be attending
from out of town. What are the nearby motels/hotels?
There are a
great number of places nearby, mostly on or off Broadway to the east of
our school. Here is a list of
local motels in various price ranges.
